Our Cosmic Pro Carbon Exalith has been 100% redesigned, from rims to hubs and spokes. It’s still super-efficient on flat and rolling terrain, but we’ve made it even more versatile, thanks to the balance of aerodynamics and lightweight. And it still delivers awesome breaking power thanks to our exclusive Exalith technology. Redesigned rims The rim is now a smart blend of alloy and carbon with new NACA dimensions (45mm deep, 25mm wide) to deliver low drag and highly improved crosswind stability. The carbon provides plenty of lateral stiffness for instant acceleration, while the aluminum brake track brings the convenience of standard braking while providing strong support for the high-pressure clincher tire. Our exclusive Maxtal alloy and ISM (Inter Spoke Milling) technology are then used to save weight without sacrificing durability. The real braking power is delivered by our exclusive Exalith technology. This chemical rim treatment reinforces the rim profile, makes it less prone to wear on the brake track and reduces braking distance by 18% compared to a traditional alloy rim in both wet and dry conditions. Finally, the matt black finish perfectly matches the carbon flanges, giving a slicker look to the whole Wheel-Tire System. Spokes, hubs and tires to match We’ve also completely redesigned the spokes in this wheel and their new patented aerodynamic shape saves another few watts to get you to the finish line that bit faster. The hubs are running on our new Instant Drive 360 freewheel system which provides fast engagement, super smooth bearings and durability. And the entire Wheel-Tire System is finished off with a sweet set of tires. The front Yksion Pro Griplink tire is safe thanks to a strong Kevlar puncture breaker and a carefully designed tread pattern that evacuates water when cornering to help you go down in full confidence. The rear Yksion Pro Powerlink tire offers a high rolling efficiency thanks to a smooth 127 TPI casing and a tread pattern that’s designed to release pressure on the ground and evacuate water while still delivering great grip in the worst conditions.
