Despite the frame’s slender looks, Charge have built the frame of the Cooker Maxi 1 from a 6061 aluminium rather than steel, which not only makes the bike much lighter and more versatile for adventure rides, it becomes more agile and playful on the dirt and in the dunes.
The 80mm wide custom wheelset wears a pair of fat 4 inch Maxxis Mammoth tyres, giving an incredibly smooth and floaty riding experience out on the trails, and as you’d expect, they stick like toffee to a blanket!
Powering this puffed out fatty is a nice wide-range 20 speed SRAM X5 drivetrain, giving you plenty of low gears to power up those mountains and high gears to bomb back down the other side. Making use of all the grip on hand is a set of Pro Max Render disc brakes, with a larger 180mm front rotor for added stopping power.
