Designed to allow optimum fit on 29in-wheeled mountain bikes. Larger wheels require different geometry, including longer chainstays and shallower seat angles. 29er's affect weight distribution and bike fit by moving the rider further towards the back of the bike. THAR is designed to counteract this effect to improve weight distribution for climbing and front-wheel grip. Normally fi'zi:k's saddles are categorised using Spine Concept. THAR is specific to the kind of bike.

The key element of the THAR's design is the shape and position of the saddle rails. With 25mm of extra adjustment to the rear of the rails, this allows the saddle to sit further forward than a normal saddle, improving bike fit, weight distribution and front wheel traction.

THAR also includes a customisable tuner which allows the rider to personalise the level of base flex to suit their preferred comfort and riding style.
