The Castelli Superleggera W Vest is an ultra compact, ultra light, windproof and highly breathable gilet. The front and shoulders feature Pertex Quantum - an incredibly lightweight windproof fabric (30g/m2) It has a soft hand and good water resistance. The back of the vest (gilet) features a stretch Torrent waterproof insert across the bum and up the spine to help stop wheel spray from soaking your jersey beneath. Either side of this spine are mesh inserts to maximise breathability and to help stop the vest parachuting on fast descents. Finally, as this is probably a piece for misty mountains and early starts/late finishes the vest is trimmed with a generous dose of reflective material (across the chest, around the armholes and following the mesh line diagonally from the side to the back as well as a reflective scroll wordmark)
