The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a software developer to join our internal IT Business Systems team. Reporting to the Head of Business Systems and working in partnership with the Project Manager, Business Analysts, Test Analysts and fellow developers creating and delivering in house IT business solutions and enhancements to improve organisational efficiency across the group.

Ensuring the delivery of quality code, setting development standards and providing guidance for detailed technical implementation issues, duties will include: 

• Delivering high performing enhancements and new functionality to our internal business systems
  
• Deliver high quality solutions with easily maintainable and testable code
  
• Strong knowledge of C# .NET development including MVC, VB6, Web forms, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Sage
  
• Routinely keeps JIRA tasks updated with check-in code references to TFS, includes quality test instructions
  
• 3rd line support - Apply troubleshooting skills to support operational challenges reported in from the wider business
  
• Work with Infrastructure team to support live and test-loop (dev) environments, providing solid foundations for the team to build and deploy code cleanly
