The REDEMPTIONe is the newest bike series to join the FELT ELECTRIC family. Inspired by Felt’s popular Decree 27.5” trail bike, Felt engineers combined advanced electric bike designs with uncompromising engineering. The REDEMPTIONe delivers the ultimate e-MTB, capable of crossing over the most challenging climbs and the most technical descents.
The Redemption-E utilizes a classic four-bar system very similar to the independent suspension system used in many vehicles today. The four-bar system is comprised of the main front triangle, the chain stays, the seat stays and the shock link. The position of the pivots and the lengths of the various linkages were specifically designed for use with the Bosch pedal-assist motor system. To accomplish efficient pedaling, the suspension is designed with an ideal amount of anti-squat for a system with a small drive cog (18T) and a 2.5x internal gearbox chainring transmission.
A key benefit of the Redemption-E system is its flat leverage ratio along with hill climbing stiffness allowing small bump sensitivity while pedaling with and without the addition of power supplied by the Bosch system. This translates to a bike that pedals well with and without assistance and is able to absorb bumps all at the same time.Small-Bump Sensitivity: With the performance handled by the suspension system, the shock can be run with only a slight amount of compression damping. This frees the shock up to remain active and absorb the smallest of bumps.
