Retro rims resemble European high quality rims from the 1970's and 80's but are made using modern extrusions and materials to offer high performance and low weight.

Laced together with 32 stainless spokes to sealed bearing Halo Retro 5 Star polished hubs to produce high performance modern Halo Retro wheels.

6D - Halo 6 Drive System:

The ultra-dependable 6-Drive system: Smooth, quiet and reliable power transfer.

6 reversed pawls, all independently sprung and featuring double tips, giving 12 point simultaneous engagement on a 30 click Cr-Mo drive ring powering the optional Cr-Mo or 7075 hard alloy splined freehub body. This results in an extremely positive and reliable drive system.

The uncluttered freehub that a reversed pawl system gives, allows a cartridge bearing to be used directly under the freehub drive ring (rather than an offset position that is commonly used in conventional pawl systems that cram the pawl mechanism into the relatively small diameter of the freehub itself.)

The resultant reduction in offset torque transfer from the freehub reduces leverage effect on the axle and ultimately increases bearing durability.
