Scott’s HMF carbon fibre frame & fork deliver an exceptionally lightweight package, with great strength and stiffness built in. HMF carbon allows the Scott engineers to optimise the shape of the frame in key areas, producing a bike which is laterally stiff yet comfortably compliant.
To keep the Foil 30 up to speed, Shimano’s race-ready 22 speed 105 gearing is combined with a semi-compact 52/36 RS500 chainset, because a regular compact simply isn’t fast enough! Tektro’s T531 front and T541 rear brakes are both direct mount, and are designed specifically for either the front or rear of the bike, helping reduce their impact on the overall aerodynamic performance.
Keeping the bike rolling smoothly at speed is Shimano’s RS330 wheelset, balancing rigidity, durability and affordability while keeping the weight down. The 30mm rim depth also helps boost the Foil’s aerodynamic prowess.
