Berlin bicycle couriers asked Halo to give more puncture protection to their favourite Courier tyres, so we did... and the Berlin spec, High-density anti-puncture version of the Courier tyre, was born. It uses a 2.5mm thick Anti-puncture strip instead of the normal 1mm puncture protection system strip

Then, one of our friends using an MTB for commuting along the River Camb Tow-Path made the comment - that wouldn't it be great to find an MTB tyre that hardly ever gets a puncture

So the Halo designers transferred what they had successfully done for the Courier tyre over to the regular MTB Twin Rail... and the Twin Rail Berlin 26x2.2 MTB tyre has been made

Successfully tested for over 6 months by one of our trusted band of riders using the River Camb Tow-path, the Twin Rail Berlin 26x2.2 is a fit & forget tyre for MTB all round commuting, hardpack and non-gloopy off-road use

Utilises 2 central rails (ridges) for reduced buzz on hard surfaces, but features drive 'sleepers' between the 'rails' to give traction on loose surfaces (Halo patented)

Overlapping low profile studs avoid lateral flex during hard cornering

Multi use pressures allow this one tyre to perform in almost all conditions... both on road and off road. Berlin Ant-Puncture Protection System significantly reduces flats
