The Defy Composite 3 uses Shimano Tiagra components to supply 20 well ranged gears for consistent and reliable shifting. A Shimano Tiagra chainset is also used to transfer the riders power as efficiently as possible, helping the rider to get the most from every pedal stroke. The Tektro TK-R540 Giant specific brakes used are even powerful enough to work well in wet weather.
