- A sturdy back brace that sits well on the back and feels comfy. Once on, you forget it's there, or it feels like a backpack.
Being separate from other items of protection, its use: s made re flexible. It can also be used for a variety of sports like skiing I guess.
- It's pretty heavy. Each hard shell element is wrapped in plastic film that can't beasily be peeled off (it seems to go around the inside and in fact was screwed and stitched over).
The elastic shoulder straps might not last very long. Actually, the stitching was already coming a little undone on one of them where it is attached to the brace, when I received the item.
This feels solid but my friends went for much lighter shorts with integrated padding, including foam of various densities along the back. Not sure it offers as much protection, but looks serious, less heavy and less bulky.
