With its distinctive two-piece hub shell, renowned reliability and innovative Pro Head Reinforcement (PHR) rim/spoke interface the SPLINE One system has set the bar for high-end alloy MTB wheels

XM (Cross Mountain) version uses a 22.5 mm internal, 27 mm external width rim to give a great balance between increased width and light weight without compromising the SPLINE One's renowned toughness and handling

With an average weight of 1535 grams in 26 inch, 1580 grams in 27.5 inch and 1670 grams in 29 inch the XM 1501's are light enough to improve the feel of any high-end trail bike

Two piece forged hub shell has two key advantages: firstly it allows the hub shell to be internally CNC'd to a far great extent than a one piece hub, reducing weight whilst leaving material precisely where it is needed, secondly it allows DT to isolate the forces generated by spoke tension from the bearing seat, giving smoother rolling and improved bearing life

The Competition butted spokes attach to the rim via DT's patented PHR system, which uses a convex pivoting nipple and shaped washer in place of a traditional eyelet, this allows the nipple to pivot for perfect alignment with the spoke, removing one of the key stress risers and sources of flex in traditional wheels

Combined with straight pull hubs designed from the ground up to mesh perfectly with the PHR system and you have wheels with the best stiffness and strength to weight ratio possible

Whilst the SPLINE One's hub shells are unique, the internals are taken from DT's legendary 240 hubs so you know you're assured excellent durability, low weight, wide axle and freehub intercompatibility and easy, tool-free servicing

For faster engagement in technical situations the 1501s come with a 36 tooth freehub ratchet upgrade as standard, ideal for tricky climbs

When bought as a pair they will include RWS Skewers, tubeless rim tape and tubeless valves

Maximum recommended system weight: 110 KG
