Crossmax SL Pro is the first mountain bike wheel to use the Mavic patented ISM 4D technology. The rim is strategically machined to reduce weight and inertia, removing material where it’s not needed and keeping it where it is to offer a more dynamic ride. Because not all race courses and trails are equal, ISM 4D does not compromise durability or stiffness despite using less material, therefore making this wheel suitable for racing and more demanding cross-country trails.
To fully benefit from these high technology wheels, Crossmax SL Pro now come equipped with a set of Crossmax Pulse tyres. Extensively developed to complement the wheel perfectly, the Pulse is fast and light but not limited to dry and flat trails. With their fast rolling compound on the centre tread and softer side knobs (Xmix dual compound), the Crossmax Pulse tyre screams high speed rolling and confident cornering. We also designed this tyre to offer superior mud shredding characteristics for more grip in all conditions.
With user-friendly UST (universal standard for tubeless) rims and lighter UST tubeless ready tyres, this fast and light wheel/tyre system brings all the benefits of tubeless - traction, control, lower risk of flats and reduced weight.
Featuring the proven ITS-4 freewheel system on the rear giving quick engagement, Crossmax SL Pro hubs are compatible with multiple axle standards should you change your bike or your fork.
On the technical side, the hubs are compatible with 9 and 15mm axles on the front, (9x1355QR), 12x135 and 12x142 on the rear with all adapters included. There is also a Lefty Supermax (2.0) front and an Ai/Offset rear version available in 27,5" and 29”. Crossmax SL Pro is offered in black/grey and Yellow Ltd colours, with tyres matching the rim graphics. A 26'' version also exists in black, coming without the tyre.
