We’ll just come right out and say it: Deemax is a legendary product in the history of downhill mountain biking. Developed and used by some of the fastest racers on the world cup circuit, Deemax Ultimate is among the lightest DH wheelsets around. Iconic features Featuring distinctive yellow paint and easily identifiable graphics, the alloy rim is constructed using our patented ISM weight reduction technology, which features a central line with standard alloy thickness. This means the weight of the rim is reduced for better acceleration and handling while the strength, a key element in DH, remains at the highest level. Spokes are steel made, double-butted and bladed, with 28 in the front and 32 in the rear for even more vertical compliance and strength to cope with the huge hits that are part of going down track with the clock in mind. Built for speed The ITS 4 freewheel system, with 4 pawls and only 7.5° between engaged positions helps reduce the time it takes to get out of a corner and back up to maximum speed. Deemax is compatible with multiple axle standards and comes delivered with 20mm front (9 and 15mm adaptors are optional but common to other wheels in our line up) and the DH specific rear hub has a 150mm spacing with adapters to convert it to 157mm delivered in the box. The Yellow Deemax is available in 26 and 27.5".
