Receptor Backcountry has a double shell, multi impact EPP and an aramid penetration barrier and is especially developed for North Shore, Slick Rocks or any freeride occasion where thereês a risk of crashing into high friction objects. The helmet is equipped with the patented MIPS system to reduce the rotational forces to the brain in the case of an oblique impact. The Receptor Backcountry comes with detachable ear pads and is also certified for use in snow sports
