Designed and engineered to meet the unique demands of today’s rapidly evolving off-road E-bikes, this wheelset features many of the technologies established in our traditional wheelsets plus an extra-wide rim for added confidence and control. The added weight and torque that’s associated with E-bikes demands a super-strong and durable wheelset, especially for rugged trail riding. The E-XA Elite 27+ is built on a wide, lightweight and durable rim with a 40mm internal width. The rim is produced using our patented ISM 2D technology to remove all but the most necessary material. This allows for quick acceleration and a dynamic ride quality. The hookless profile features our UST technology so it’s easier to experience the improved traction and control of tubeless tires. They are laced with 24 straight-pull bladed spokes front and rear. The ITS-4 freehub delivers fast engagement to further enhance the dynamic feel. The E-XA Elite 27+ is compatible with all modern hub and axle standards, including quick release or thru-axle, Boost or non-Boost, and works with either Shimano or SRAM cassettes with an optional driver body.
