At the Italian headquarters, Castelli are lucky to have some of the best cycling playgrounds in the world. Winters can be really cold with plenty of snow there, but as long as riding is still safe, being outside is much more fun than suffering on the rollers. A typical cyclist would probably ride at moderate speed to prepare for the next season's objectives. For some riders, winter riding also includes speed work or even intervals when preparing for a cyclocross race or an early-season Ironman next spring.

The Mortirolo is the perfect jacket for those dry wintery rides. No danger of overheating due to the cleverly placed fabrics, protective Windstopper and breathable panels. As spring gets closer you'll appreciate the zippered chest vents - especially when overambitious riding pals are sprinting for town signs or fighting for KOM glory.

Of course the Mortirolo is also a great jacket if you're just cruising around in endurance mode by yourself.
The jacket that excels in a wide variety of conditions.

The Mortirolo is a perennial favourite among cyclists because it's exceptionally good in a wide variety of conditions.

High intensity in cold weather?

Yep, this jacket keeps you warm but also vents a lot of moisture out the back thanks to the Thermal Warmer fabric.

Lower intensity in mild conditions?

Yep, just open up the zippered front vents and use a lighter base layer. The only real trade-off here is that Castelli didn't build in real water repellency other than the Gore Windstopper on the front, but this is a great piece for those dry fall and winter days.

Occasionally, without notice, manufacturers change product design and/or specifications.
