The Metric is a small-wheeled utility version of the Noodle, inspired by our recent visit to Kyoto. ‘Mini-velo’ adult bikes are a huge trend in Japan, where they are stored in tiny apartments and used to zip around the city back alleys on errands. It doesn’t fold, which means the frame is elegantly slim, light and more rigid than a folder.
Fitted with a handy front rack (removable if you like), it’s surprisingly sporty and fast. Metric is a one-size unisex machine that can be swapped between colleagues and family members.
