Fast. Light. Stable. Instinct. The Rocky Mountain Instinct 950 MSL has all Rocky Mountain’s latest and greatest innovations packed into one strong, featherweight package, which is certain to inspire long days out in the saddle.

The 29er Instinct 950 MSL frame is built using Rocky Mountain’s smoothwall carbon front triangle, with FORM 7005 series alloy rear stays to ensure you get the maximum strength and stiffness from your bike. Using BC2 pivots saves weight over traditional ball bearings and creates a stiffer linkage around the pivots.

The Rocky Mountain 960 MSL’s piece de resistance is the RIDE-9 adjustable geometry mount on the rear shock. By switching between one of 9 positions, you can change the geometry and suspension feel of the bike to make it a climb faster, descend smoother or even help set it up for the rider’s weight.

With a Fox 32 Float FIT4 fork providing 130mm of bounce at the front of the bike, and a Fox Float DPS Remote rear shock taking care of the 130mm travel at the rear, the Rocky Mountain Instinct 950 MSL has you in good hands. A mix of Shimano SLX, XT and SRAM X7 parts make up the 20 speed gearset on this bike, along with a Race Face Aeffect SL Cinch chainset with 36/22t chainrings, giving you a wide range of gears to work with. Bringing everything to a swift, smooth and reliable stop is a pair of Shimano SLX 180/180mm disc brakes.
