Our Travel means you can ride anywhere in style. We've given our master of versatility a completely new frame and more comfortable 29er wheels, whilst keeping everything that made the previous version such a favourite. It'll make the trip to the coffee shop more fun and allow you to take on more adventurous long rides at the weekends. Comfort and safety were near the top of the list when we developed this bike and, in order to make every mile more fun, we built in plenty of frame clearance for extra wide tyres. The Travel is your gateway to cycling freedom!

We used a compact geometry for this light, stiff aluminium frame - and selected double butted tubes. The result is a sporty and efficient ride position that'll translate your pedalling into effortless forward progress. The head and seat tube junctions were joined with our Smooth Welding technology for a clean appearance. State-of-the-art technology includes a tapered head tube, and we ensured that the rigid aluminium fork is stiff enough to remain stable even when loaded with luggage. The 3D forged dropout makes fitting disc brakes and an Easy Mount kickstand simple and we've gived bottle cage bosses on the seat tube and down tube - perfect for long rides. And, just like all its stablemates, the Travel has passed our stringent CUBE test standards.

The robust, reliable Shimano transmission has 27 gears, giving a wide enough range to cope with all kinds of riding situations. Shimano's BR-M355 hydraulic disc brake system performs impeccably, regardless of the weather. The lighting system - supplied with power by the Shimano hub dynamo - conforms to tough German StVZO standards. Busch & Müller's Toplight Flat+ rear light even includes a parking light function, while the latest Lyt headlamp has 20 lux of power to illuminate the road ahead.

The Easy Mount Kick Stand is a new system developed and designed by CUBE. The base of the stand is mounted from below to a fitting plate integrated to the frame and fixed with a through bolt. This kick stand is extremely stiff and solid through the enlarged contact areas between base and frame which gives a stable stand even with loaded panniers.

Internally routed cables offer many advantages. Cables are protected from dirt for longer life, weight is saved thanks to the absence of external housing and the bike has a clean, sleek appearance.

This steerer tube design is stiffer than a conventional straight steerer and yields a more secure ride feel even in difficult terrain. Minimal flex at the front of the frame means the greatest possible steering precision. With the larger steerer, the forks become more rigid. At the same time weight is saved due to the absence of bearing shells as the lower bearing is fully integrated into the head tube. On all of our CUBE carbon models the upper bearing shells are also directly in the frame, so that once more a few grams are saved and the energy transfer is very direct.
