That eye-catching 27.5" optimised alloy frame isn't just a pretty face - it's rife with tech features too. By hydroforming the tubing, Marin have built in a tapered seat tube to enhance stiffness around the bottom bracket without adding weight where they don't want it, plus they've created a complex shape around the seat stays with a stress-relieved bridge to keep the rear triangle stiff and straight. It's the same up front too - the butted tubing and tapered head tube add strength and stiffness at the top of the fork, making sure you get the perfect amount of steering feedback at all times.

Like a shopping list of dream parts sketched on the inside cover of a schoolboy's notebook, the components fitted to the Rocky ridge 7.6 leaves little to be desired. A RockShox Pike RC Solo Air fork with 130mm of abuse-soaking travel to make mincemeat of any trail, plus SRAM's ultra-reliable X1 1x11 gearing to get you back up to the top of your favourite run in no time, so you can do it all again.

They say power is nothing without control, which is why Marin have given the Rocky Ridge 7.6 a pair of Shimano M615 hydraulic disc brakes with IceTech brake pads to tackle long descents without risk of fade or overheating. Mavic XM423 rims fitted with Schwalbe Hans Dampf Evolution 27x2.35 tyres ensure all the hard work of the frame & fork are transmitted right back into the trail.
