The Scott Solace 40 flat bar road bike has the best tricks up its sleeve, like high Modulus Fibre carbon & 20 speed Tiagra/105 gearing, yet still delivers the relaxed, & reliable ride thanks to the upright riding position and reliable disc brakes.

High Modulus fibre

The HMF carbon frame manufactured using an Integrated Molding Process developed by Scott engineers is incredibly lightweight yet retains a high lateral stiffness for responsive handling, yet allowing just the right amount of vertical compliance for road-vibration absorption, making it a comfortable bike to ride too.

Keep up the pace

The 20 speed gears come from Shimano Tiagra shifters and front mech, with a racing-spec Shimano 105 rear mech to give a crisp and responsive gear change every time. A compact 50-34 Shimano Tiagra chainset & 12-30 cassette give a broad range of gears, getting you to the top of the hills with ease and keeping up the pace on the way back down.

High performance brakes

The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are not only more powerful and more reliable than traditional rim brakes, they provide a more responsive feel at the brake lever, giving you the confidence to use that extra power when you need it most. The RT54 160mm disc rotors feature a heat-shedding alloy centre spider, keeping the brakes cool on long descents whilst also reducing weight.
