What warranties will I get?
Wheelies guarantee all cycle components fully for 12 months against manufacturing defects. In addition to this, every cycle supplied comes with the manufacturers own warranty that covers the frame and fork. This can vary depending on the brand of bicycle you choose, and can in some cases be for a lifetime. All accessories are covered under the manufacturers' own warranty.
How many brands do you deal with?
Wheelies are able to offer a choice of 140 cycle brands to accommodate any type of rider from toddlers to dedicated enthusiasts. We also offer a vast range of cycling accessories to meet all your cycling needs. We tend to focus on the leading brands available in the UK. Some are the best of British like Raleigh and Claud Butler, others are market leaders such as Specialized, Giant, Scott and many more.
How long have you been trading?
Wheelies Cycles was established in 1982 and was taken over by its present owners in 1989. In 1992 a dedicated insurance replacement department known as Wheelies Direct was set up. Since then the business has grown rapidly and today we cover Retail, Insurance Replacement, Mail-Order, a Cycle to Work Scheme, Affinity Discount Schemes and Corporate Sales. How do I choose the most suitable bike or accessory?

Will my bike be built?
With the exception of Kids bikes between 12" and 16" wheels, all cycles are fully built to
British Standard BS6102 and inspected by one of our CyTech qualified
technicians. When you receive your new bike, all you will need to do before you
ride it is attach the pedals and straighten the handlebar. To help you we provide a quick and easy step-by-step guide with each new bike.
While Kids bikes arrive unassembled they are quick and easy to put together mainly because they do not have gears. They to come with a manufacturers handbook to help with assembly and if there are any technical queries you can call and speak to one of our technical advisors for assistance.
How do I choose the right size bike?
This depends on three things: the style of bike you want, your size and the type of riding you do. If you know these details, you can check what size you need in our sizing charts, or alternatively, speak to one of our customer service representatives who will happily help you find the best size for you.
Will I have to fit the accessories?
Wheelies Direct will fit all accessories to your bike where possible prior to despatch. However, if you would prefer to fit them yourself, just let us know and we can despatch them to you separately.
What if I can't decide?
If you are not sure exactly what you want, you can speak to one of our experienced representatives, many of whom are cyclists themselves. They will be able to take you through the myriad of options and help you reach a decision you will undoubtedly be delighted with. Do you only supply bikes on this website?
In a nutshell, we aim to cater for all your cycling needs, whether it be an entry level mountain bike to get you from A to B, a lightweight flat-bar road bike for navigating your way through the busy city streets or the top of the range hardtail mountain bike for hitting the trails on the weekend, we can do it all. The same can also be said for components and accessories, whatever you need we aim to have it, from lights, mudguards to locks, clothing and much more.
How many bikes can you offer me today?
At any one time, Wheelies stock around 2000 bikes in a range of styles and sizes to suit your needs. In addition to this we are able to obtain special orders from our suppliers in double quick time.
