Founded in 1976, Haro, in some respects is the brand that brought BMX to the mainstream and in many respects the biggest and most recognised name in the sport. It started with popular race plates for the sports top racers and the demand lead to a business starting up. Bob Haro rode bikes and basically started the freeride scene and introduced the first specific freeride BMX in 1983, the Haro Sport and Master. Focussing mostly on BMX bikes but also producing smaller wheeled versions (16” and 18”) for kids and juniors and larger (24”) Street and dirt jump orientated bikes they are no slacker when it comes to innovation and having the competitive edge. The name most associated with BMX is the brand to go for if you’re looking for your first or best new bike.
